Refund Policy

This policy covers everything sold on our pricing page — a single study, a Building Pass covering one structure, and a subscription — purchased from Voltbench, operated by Voltbench. Payments are handled by our Merchant of Record, Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), and Paddle's buyer terms also apply.

Try Before You Buy

Modelling a building and running every study is free, and so is reading the result: each study's verdict, the working behind it with every coefficient's clause citation, and the drawings. What a purchase adds is the issuable document — the report you hand over, and the combined dossier for a building. You can therefore confirm the Service does what you need, on your own building, before paying anything.

When Refunds Are Available

We will issue a full refund where, within 14 days of purchase:

• what you purchased was not delivered — the study, building, or account access you paid for did not unlock, or
• it is faulty due to a technical failure on our side, or
• you purchased but have not yet issued any document under it (see below).

Sales Are Final After Use

Each purchase is a digital good delivered immediately, so a purchase becomes final once it has been used. What counts as use depends on what you bought:

• A single study is used once that study's report has been generated and downloaded.
• A Building Pass is used once the first report or dossier has been issued for that building. Studies of the building you have not yet run are part of what the pass already covers, so leaving some unrun does not make the purchase partly unused.
• A subscription is used once any document has been issued in the current billing period.

Incorrect inputs are not grounds for a refund. Correcting them and re-issuing is included in every purchase and is never charged again, and we are happy to help.

Subscriptions

You may cancel a subscription at any time; cancellation stops the next renewal and access continues to the end of the period already paid for. We do not pro-rate part-used periods. Where a renewal has charged within the last 14 days and no document has been issued in that period, we will refund it in full on request. Documents you issued while subscribed remain available to you for download after it ends, as stated in our Terms.

Upgrading From a Study to a Building Pass

If you already hold single studies on a building, its Building Pass costs only the difference. That upgrade is a separate purchase and is refundable on the terms above; refunding it returns you to the single studies you already held, which are unaffected. Single studies that have already been used are not refunded by later buying a pass.

How to Request a Refund

Email support@voltbench.app with your Paddle order reference and a short description of the problem. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method via Paddle.

Nothing in this policy limits any statutory right of withdrawal or refund you have under the consumer law that applies to you.
